Louisville Slugger proudly introduces the follow up to the wildly popular TPS Catalyst softball bat. The 2008 Catalyst X-1 takes TPS fastpitch to a new level. Everything from the bat design to the equipment used to manufacture the bat was developed by the Louisville Slugger Composites R&D Lab.

Controlling every aspect of design and manufacturing ensures that every bat is consistently produced to our high quality standards. The new Catalyst Fastpitch X-1 FP81c (-10) uses Louisville Slugger’s exclusive X-1 composite design. The Catalyst fastpitch bat is the only bat to use multiple layers of aerospace grade graphite and S-glass fibers which are embedded in a specially designed toughened epoxy resin. Each layer is precisely positioned at an angle determined by Louisville Slugger’s exclusive, computer-designed pattern.

This results in a fastpitch bat with the optimum combination of performance and durability.
