Description
The Louisville Slugger TPX CB9X Exogrid is built along a simple concept: Increase handle stiffness and strength without increasing weight. Using heat and extreme pressure, the sleeve, inserts and metal wall are bonded to function as a single, solid unit. Metal in the Exogrid is trimmed away and replaced with carbon composite inserts that are several times stronger and lighter than the metal they replace. At the heart of this TPX Exogrid baseball bat is the carbon sleeve, which provides a greater handle stiffness than aluminum alone ever could. Unidirectional fibers run the full length of the handle to make sure all the bases are covered. A stiff handle produces more barrel flex, resulting in maximum trampoline effect and ultimately, greater performance.
